A purifier is a sequence of consumable stages, and each one has a different life. The sediment filter catches grit and clogs first. The carbon filter handles chlorine, taste and odour, and stops working long before it looks used. The RO membrane does the actual dissolved-solids removal and lasts longest but degrades gradually. A UV lamp keeps glowing well past the point where its output has fallen below what disinfection needs.
That last point is the one that catches people out. A UV lamp that still lights is not evidence of a working UV stage — the emission drops off with hours run, and the lamp is on a clock, not a look. The same logic applies to carbon: by the time you can taste that it has failed, it failed a while ago.
We fit brand-matched consumables rather than generic cartridges, because several models use housings and flow rates that generics do not correctly match. After fitting we check the output — flow and TDS — so you have evidence the change did what it should. The old part is shown to you and left with you, and the next due date is recorded.
