• UV lamp warning or the unit refusing to dispense

  Eureka Forbes models track UV lamp hours and lock out dispensing once the lamp is past its rated life. The lamp and often the quartz sleeve around it need replacing together — a clouded sleeve blocks UV even with a new lamp fitted.

• Noticeably slower flow than when new

  Sediment loading in the pre-filter, which on tank-fed society supplies clogs sooner than the annual schedule assumes. On RO models a fouled membrane produces the same symptom.

  The electronic control module has faulted or lost its calibration. This is a board-level diagnosis rather than a filter change, so it is worth confirming before agreeing to a full service.
